Lisa Meabry
Senior Law Clerk, Commissioner of Oaths
 Lisa's responsibilities include responding to initial inquiries when someone has passed away, gathering information about an estate in order to complete all requirements for a Court application for a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee ("probate"), administering estates including preparation of documents and corresponding with Executors, beneficiaries, asset holders, creditors, accountants, financial planners and other third parties from initial contact to the winding up of an estate. She also prepares Court documents for a formal passing of accounts. In order to complete all aspects of a client's needs in the above matters, Lisa has obtained an appointment from the Ministry of the Attorney General as a commissioner for swearing affidavits.
Lisa also works closely with our professionals to complete real estate sales and transfers resulting from estate administration or otherwise, Survivorship Applications and Transmission Applications. She is proficient in the use of the Teraview Electronic Registration system through which she is able to conduct searches and complete property registrations.
Lisa graduated from the Law Clerk program at Fanshawe College in 1986. After gaining extensive experience in the areas of Wills, Estates and Real Estate, Lisa joined Neff Law Office as our Senior Law Clerk in 2001. With her considerable knowledge, Lisa works closely with each member of our team to ensure a high level of service is provided to our valued clients. Lisa continues to update her knowledge by regularly attending legal education courses. She has also completed First Aid certification.
As a wife and a mother of two young children, Lisa leads a busy and active life. She coaches and co-ordinates the children's soccer program in Carleton Place. Lisa is also an avid hockey and soccer player.
